
The Australian Poweroos are Australia’s national powerchair football team. Australia are currently ranked 6th the world, and are the current Asia Pacific Oceania (APO) Zone Champions.
Playing with a never-say-die attitude and that classic Aussie grit and determination, the Poweroos lift when wearing the green and gold.

The Poweroos Story
The Australian Poweroos, established in 2011, have rapidly ascended in international powerchair football. Debuting at the 2011 FIPFA World Cup in Paris with a 7th-place finish, they achieved their best result in 2017, securing 4th place after a semi-final run in Florida.
In 2019, they clinched the Asia Pacific Oceania (APO) Cup title on home soil, remaining undefeated and not conceding a goal. Hosting the 2023 FIPFA World Cup in Sydney, the Poweroos finished 6th, demonstrating resilience against top-tier teams. Currently ranked 6th globally, the Poweroos continue to be a formidable force in the sport.
