The Centre
The Pregnancy Advisory Centre provides health services free of charge for women facing unplanned pregnancy. We are open from 8.45am to 4.45pm, Monday to Friday. Services are confidential and are provided by health workers who have experience in women's health.
We offer:
- Counselling
- Pregnancy testing
- Abortion Services to 20 weeks gestation with local and general anaesthetic
- Contraceptive information & provision
- Sexual health care & information
- Community education
How to contact us:
You do not have to be referred by a doctor. You can simply ring us on the number above and make an appointment.
Child care, interpreters & accommodation:
We can arrange interpreters in all languages and can also arrange free child care for all appointments. We can assist women living in the country or in isolated areas with places to stay and support if necessary.
Counselling:
If a pregnancy is confirmed and you are not sure what you want to do, you may like to speak to a counsellor at the Centre. This can be a chance to talk to an uninvolved person about your particular needs relating to this decision.
